So far this year I have drawn several private commissions, with subjects ranging from Bodybuilders to Star Wars characters. I recently complete work on a four-page strip for Glossop Cartons (which can be seen in the Cartoons gallery) as well as two cartoons for National Express (also in the gallery). I also recently finished a CD cover for the band INSTILL, who release their first EP soon – I also drew a short comic strip for the inside cover.

I’m currently working on a new strip for Autodata, as well as a commission for an old Grand Prix Legends friend (incredible 1960′s racing simulator which I was addicted to from 1998 to 2005!).

Of course, work still continues on Project Luna: 1947 for Markosia,which is really starting to heat up now – at this moment I am exactly three-quarters done, as I put the finishing touches to pages 65 and 66. I can’t wait to finally hold this finished epic in my hands!! I can’t give away too much of the crazy action, so here is an unlettered page that I think I’m safe to post:

The cover is below. It’s been a HUGE project to undertake – pencilling, inking, colouring AND lettering a whole book! It’s been a great learning experience though – before I started I had no clue how to properly letter a comic page. My colouring has come on in huge leaps during this experience as well… my shiny new Wacom Intuos 4 tablet has been a big help too.

I will put up some new pages in the Comic Art gallery soon…

The slow but steady progression of our graphic novel Project Luna: 1947 continues; page 57 (of 88) is almost in the bag! This one has been a labour of love, I just wish I could devote more time to it each week… but it’s looking good, preeeetty, preetttty good (in best Larry David voice).

I’ve just picked up the BPRD Hell on Earth: New World book, and it’s fantastic, as ever. I don’t know how I managed it, but I remained completely spoiler-free and read the whole thing in one go last night. Guy Davis is a master of the craft, and will be missed on this book – can’t wait to see what he does next.

I’m always on the lookout for new work, so feel free to contact me if you’re interested in talking to me about a project, or if you’d like to commission some artwork. I was pretty poor at updating my old blog, but with this new one integrated into my site I will make updating a much more regular thing (honest).

I’m continuing my work with writer Martin Hayes on the graphic novel Project Luna: 1947, which will be published by Markosia as soon as it’s finished. I’m also still working on my monthly strip for the football magazine KiCK! as well as a series of strips for Autodata. You can see examples of all of these projects in my galleries.
